America the Beautiful

It seems appropriate to me to do the musical part of our beloved Independance Day this year so I'm submitting the most talented and best of the best for the day! Enjoy Renee Fleming's version of this classic...

Not bad for approaching the sixth decade of life, eh? She's five months younger than me and I'm blown away by this but I try to keep myself humble. She doesn't have to but she's not...

Queen Aretha

In honor of the Queen of Soul, I am submitting a mere sample of her work today. She was truly multi-talented in music and this will only convey a portion of it. Always with God in mind she led the way to a level in her preferred genre which was soul music and always bested her previous work. A biopic on her will follow this soon. Ya'll come back now...ya hear?
