This morning I heard this on my wake up alarm and thought I'd share it.
It was just so appropriate and said everything I wanted to say to someone last night but just couldn't. Well, here it is:

Knowing that I can’t let this slip by I’m going to present it here and expect to see many comments in a matter of days. If I don’t I’ll know that something’s really wrong with the state of our indigenous music. Ignore the Boss? Whoo-hoo! Never !
Have a blast man !
Here's a bit of Passover music, imagery and lyrics from an ever changing musical group brought together by Jews for Jesus over the decades. It wouldn't be Passover without music would it ? Right. Enjoy! - The Castle Lady

(It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence
in man. With the Lord on my side I do not fear.
What can man do to me?
For the Law was given through Moses;
Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Jesus said… “I am the resurrection and the life;
He who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”)

It's always appropriate to have a song for St. Patrick's Day so here's one for the record books- in my case anyway since I have Irish in me on both sides. Here we go with one from The Tossers:
Uncle Sam,
as you know, changed our names long ago
When we got to Americas
door
And we slaved and we cowed,
and we begged and we bowed
For a dime and a place on the floor
Now
Chicago it rings with the old songs and things
That the Irish we brought to this shore
And there’s no one to say Paddy you go away
Now it’s Erin go Bragh ever more
Erin go Bragh
In the
pubs far and near there is music and beer
Any time of the bright blessed day
And our dancers they skip with their hands at their hips
While the pipes and the old fiddlers play
And our
voices resound through the halls of the town
All the way to the president’s door
We were hungry and small but we conquered it all
Now it’s Erin go Bragh ever more
Have you ever wanted to change the lyrics of a song? I don’t believe I have until now. If you are familiar with Amy Winehouse’s song Love is a Losing Game you may understand what I mean in saying that it’s a beautiful tune but the lyrics absolutely break your heart. If you know Amy’s story you’ll know this is her swan song and that’s heartbreaking enough. I sat down the other day and wrote my own lyrics to Amy’s torch hymn. I believe they are a much more affirmative and positive approach to my own modern experience of love. I have put them up underneath a video of her singing the original with her lyrics. Mine are directly beneath. Give them the once over and then try it with the song. Let me know if you like the change. –The Castle Lady
For you, I was a flame
Love is a losing game
Five-storey fire as you came
Love is a losing game
One I wish I never played
Oh, what a mess we made
And now, the final frame
Love is a losing game
Played out by the band
Love is a losing hand
More than I could stand
Love is a losing hand
Self-professed, profound
'Til the chips were down
Though you're a gambling man
Love is a losing hand
Though I battle blind
Love is a fate resigned
Memories mar my mind
Love, it is a fate resigned
Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game.
Caught up in wild games
Love flick'ring like a flame
Chasing me, on you came
Love soon forgot its name.
One for which I often prayed
Oh what a mess you made
You never took the blame
Love hung its head in shame.
Then taken by the hand
Love made for me a stand
I just couldn't understand
Foolish became my brand.
In love ourselves we found
Our dance went round and round
Gambling got out of hand
Laid down the cards, the man.
Did I almost lose my mind?
Never was the loving kind
Learned love, learned time
Will heal all past design.
I bow while crowds applaud
My love was saved by God
In all I've lost or gained
Love is still what remains.
This is my favorite song for this day. For a musician or singer, it says it all and more...
more later....
