No matter who you choose to represent the American Rock and Roll phenomenon- which continues to this day- if you don’t recognize its epitomy- that is, of course, Bruce Springsteen then you’re not really in on the deal or you’re out of it! He’s been quiet for quite a number of years up until the latter part of 2020. I’m not sure what brought him out of his self-exile but he’s done a great job of a comeback in the form of a new LP titled Western Stars. The first single he released was a song titled Hello Sunshine and it seemed as if everyone was asleep when it did.
Knowing that I can’t let this slip by I’m going to present it here and expect to see many comments in a matter of days. If I don’t I’ll know that something’s really wrong with the state of our indigenous music. Ignore the Boss? Whoo-hoo! Never !
If you want to hear and see more you can watch an eight episode series on Spotify all about what’s been going on with him. It is titled Renegades Born in the USA and consists of a set of cross-interviews between him and Barack Obama ! This series was released only a couple of months ago and were scheduled by Higher Ground which happens to be Barak Obama’s production company! I have seen parts of it on Good Morning America and also heard some clips by a very with-it DJ in Boulder who works for KBCO on his early morning show. It’s time to get with the program and check it all out! Don’t let any more spring (steen) grass grow under your feet!
